Core rules
The board is 12 columns wide. Stack the falling blocks and line them up into squares.
-
Squares of 4×4 or larger clear
Block colour is irrelevant. Whenever any part of the board fills a square of 4×4 or larger, that whole square clears. The largest possible is 12×12.
-
Bigger squares score more
The more blocks you clear at once, the more you score, and bigger squares climb faster.
-
Chains become combos
When a square clears, the blocks above it fall. If they land in a new square, the chain continues. Each combo raises your score multiplier, and that multiplier never drops for the rest of the run.
-
The run ends when time runs out
You start with 120 seconds and the clock counts down constantly. Clearing squares adds time back, so the longer you keep clearing, the longer you play.
-
Stacking too high also ends the run
If blocks pile up until a new one can no longer enter the board, the game is over. Keep the stack under control.
Controls
Three gestures, playable one-handed.
Swipe left, right, or down
Moves the block. Horizontal and downward input are handled independently, so you can drop and slide sideways in the same motion.
Tap
Rotates the block 90 degrees. Line it up with the shape you are trying to complete.
Flick up
Hard drop. The block falls straight to the bottom, which saves you the time it would spend descending.
How the clock works
You start with 120 seconds and it never stops running.
Clearing a square winds it back, and bigger squares give more. But only the first clear of a chain adds time. Later ones add none.
Using Hold
Hold parks a block you do not want right now. Tap the hold box on screen to use it.
-
Once per block
You get one hold between a block appearing and being placed. After that the hold box greys out until the next block arrives.
-
It swaps, it does not stack
If you already have a block on hold, using hold swaps the two. Think of it as pulling out the shape you need right now.
-
Pick your moment
Spend it early and you will have nothing left when a square needs one specific shape.
