How a season runs

Seasons open at the start of a month and close in the middle of the following one, with a break in between.

  1. Season opens

Entries open at 00:00 on the 1st of the starting month. Every run you play is submitted to the leaderboard automatically.

  2. During the season

You can play as many times as you like until 23:59 on the 15th of the following month. Your best score of the season is what counts.

  3. Ranks are locked in

Scores close at the end of the season and final ranks are calculated, along with the total number of participants.

  4. Results are announced

The top 100 players see a result sequence based on their final rank the next time they open the app.

  5. On to the next season

After the counting period, a new season opens on the 1st of the month after that. Scores reset and everyone starts level.

For example, a season starting on 1 February closes on 15 March, and the next one opens on 1 April. The current season number and time remaining are shown on the leaderboard screen in the app.

How ranks are decided

Score comes first. If two players tie, the following criteria break it.

Tiebreaker order
Priority Criterion Who ranks higher
1ScoreThe higher score
2Blocks clearedWhoever got there using fewer blocks
3Time recordedWhoever reached that score first

In other words, at equal scores the more efficient run wins. Holding a high multiplier and clearing big rewards you twice over. See the strategy guide for how to get there.

Setting up to compete

Nickname

The name shown on the leaderboard. You can change it any time from the user settings screen, and it does not need to be your real name.

Leaderboard visibility

Prefer not to appear publicly? Turn leaderboard display off. The game plays exactly the same either way.

Social link

Optionally attach a social profile URL so people can find you from the leaderboard. Handy if you are chasing the top spots.

No account or email address is required. An anonymous user ID is issued the moment you open the app, and that is all you need to compete.

Where your records live

Season scores are stored server-side and reset when a new season begins. Your all-time personal best is stored on the device itself, so it carries across seasons. Past season results can be reviewed from inside the app.
